About Reiki Master Patricia (Patti) Gould
Patti Gould is a Reiki Master of the Usui System of Natural Healing. I am a member of The Reiki Alliance, which is an International Community of Reiki Masters dedicated to the practice of Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui System of Reiki Healing. As Alliance members, we are guided by a professional standard and a code of ethics, and we support each other as we join together in his worldwide community of Reiki Masters. We take our lead from a healing system founded by Mikao Usui in the early part of the 1900s, and as it was first "entrusted" to the Western world in 1936 by our Lineage Bearer, Hawayo Takata. It continues to be an exciting journey for me since I first discovered that it was possible to heal with your hands. I somehow knew it was possible, but was unaware that there was a training to start the flow of healing in one’s hands.
One day, as I was searching the internet, up popped my Reiki Master's website, and there was Shalandra Abbey, Reiki Master and Author, showing that one could actually be trained in this wonderful healing art. Recognizing that this was something that I was searching for to stabilize my life and to bring about some balance in some major changes I was going through, I immediately signed up for the First Degree Class. By February 18, 2007, I had received my internationally recognized Reiki Alliance Certificate in the Usui System of Reiki Healing. Over the next 9 months, I had made some major shifts in my life, including releasing the operations of 1 of 3 businesses which I was running, selling my condo, bringing to a close a 20-year relationship, and feeling happier, healthier, and more alive and free than ever before.
I was giving and receiving Reiki Treatments to clients. As I saw the results of the treatments, which gave the alleviation of pain and illness, with visible signs of relief from stress and worry, and seeing myself and my clients release emotional and mental constraints, and becoming more spiritually connected. I was then moved to enhance my practice by taking the Second Degree Class, which I completed on November 4, 2007. It was right after this class that I told my Reiki Master that one day I would become a Reiki Master myself. And so it was.
After a few years of training, I received my certificate as a Reiki Master of the Usui System of Reiki Healing, Usui Shiki Ryoho, on March 16, 2014. I am constantly in awe of the amazing healing abilities that Reiki offers on all levels of one’s being. And I’m eternally grateful for the lineage that has given abundant life to so many for well over 100 years.
